Step-by-Steps Every Home Inspector Should Know
- You should have an updated inspection agreement drafted or reviewed by a TEXAS ATTORNEY (not from an out of state attorney) and NEVER use a hand-me-down or borrowed inspection agreement.
- Use a product such as Docu-sign or Adobe e-sign to email your inspection agreement to the client and insist it be signed in advance of the inspection. NO EXCEPTIONS. Remember, your insurance company likely requires a signed inspection agreement as a condition of coverage.
- Know and follow TREC SOP. This cannot be overstated.
